Pete Hegseth Mocked After Quoting ‘Bible Verse’ That Was Actually From Pulp Fiction

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth found himself at the center of online criticism after reportedly referencing a passage he believed was from the Bible, only for critics to point out that the quote closely resembles a famous line from the 1994 film Pulp Fiction.

The controversy erupted after Hegseth used a version of a passage commonly associated with the character Jules Winnfield, played by Samuel L. Jackson, in one of the movie’s most iconic scenes.

In Pulp Fiction, the character recites a dramatic speech presented as a biblical quotation before confronting his enemies.

While the speech references a verse from the Book of Ezekiel, movie fans quickly pointed out that much of the wording made famous in the film was created specifically for the screenplay and does not appear in the Bible as quoted.

As a result, social media users accused Hegseth of mistakenly citing a Hollywood script as scripture.

The moment quickly went viral, with critics and movie fans sharing clips and screenshots comparing the quote to the scene from Pulp Fiction. Some users mocked the apparent mix-up, while others argued that many people are unaware of the differences between the actual biblical verse and the version popularized by the movie.

Supporters of Hegseth pushed back against the criticism, arguing that the speech is widely recognized as being inspired by scripture and that the controversy was being exaggerated for political purposes.

Regardless of intent, the incident sparked a flood of memes and online reactions, with many joking that one of Hollywood’s most famous movie monologues had once again found its way into public debate.
